Raider Quest Hosting, time to move, your support is needed

Post by Zendragon » Wed Oct 20, 2004 2:48 pm

Hi everyone,

Well as of Nov 1st, the current hoster for Raider Quest is raising their prices to like $800 per year. Obviously I am not going to pay this. I had secured the space for the last two years but it is now time to move on. Can you believe this site has been around for longer than 2 years?

Anyway, I am now asking for your help to support the cost of RaiderQuest. Anything you think you can contribute will help keep the cost of maintaining this site down.

Pay Pal is the way to go and the address is zendrag0n@hotmail.com at https://www.paypal.com/

Like I said, anything will help support this site. I am estimating that to move RQ to a new home it will probably run around $300 a year (still better than $800) that's for sure.

I am hoping that this transition will be seamless to you guys... I am doing everything in my power to make it so.

Thanks everyone in advance for your support.

Thanks everyone,

There isn't a specific amount in mind. If you can help, that's great. If you guys need to use a CC with Pay Pal, please IM me and I will give you a diferent address.

I DO appreciate your help. I bought the hosting yesterday and will be working on moving everything ASAP.

Is it safe to use a debit card with Pay Pal? I'm just getting my head around all these new concepts cos I wanna try selling stuff on Ebay. Anyone who can explain more to me, please mail or PM me. I have read the PayPal sitre but I'm still unsure whether I'd be okay to use my debit card safely. I don't really want a credit card at all if I can help it but what must happen will.

I can't see Raider Quest die-I've not been here long and I can say with all honesty that other forums have made me feel at home but none have been as friendly and welcoming as this and I don't know the members of other forums in real life either. :P

As far as I know, a debit card works just like a regualr Credit Card except that it pulls from your bank account... it should be ok
