Make Up

Post by TRaiderGurl » Wed May 13, 2009 8:07 pm

I want to know what kind of make up you use for certain costumes. I'm doing a costume where i have to paint half my face white. Well my skin is crazy sensitive and everything makes it break out. So I was wondering if yall had any good suggestions. Also, what about body paint?

oooooh hello! Yep ive been gold, blue, red and grey!
It depends what type of white you want to go for...ie mask white or just incredibly pale skin white. that can mean different application of makeup or different makeup altogether.

easier to get the very pale white skin look regarding sensitive skin....Id choose Mineral makeups which you can build up and up to get right whiteness.
..just go for one that hasnt got bimsuth oxide in it as that can irritate some skins

These are brands i trust and use alot - shade GHOST

shade 122 simply white

use a good kabuki brush to apply the powder and you should be able to build up a strong white colour.

Now if you want a solid white mask effect, it might be a be more difficult if you have really sensitive skin. just depends how sensitive!
Ben Nye liquid body paint you can get in the US and is probably one of the best long lasting effects makeup there is thats waterbased.
Id look for a barrier spray/cream to put on underneath the paint .
Mehron do one, im sure ben nye do one too.
